Taiyo Gold Agri Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. is started in the year 2009 with an objective of strengthening the rural people, the farmer who is as back bone of the country. In the year 2010, Sri Kacham Srinivas joined the company as promoting Director and became the Managing Director in the year 2014. He hails from business community. After his education, he entered into seeds and pesticides business from 1986 to 1992. In the year 1992, he became the promoting director of Phytochem India Ltd., Hyderabad looking after total production of pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. He also participated in several training programmes, demonstrations involving farmers.
With this wide experience and long association with the seed companies and growers, he joined Taiyo Gold Agri Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., as Promoting Director. Since joining the company, he actively involved in vegetable seed production, marketing in Telangana, AP and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states.
Further he initiated research activities and became instrumental and successful in making several farmers to adopt new technologies. He also participated in training programs, farmer meetings, dealers meet with the purpose of updating himself with the latest innovations, developments in seed industry.
The company was also accredited by the R & D committee appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2009. It is note worthy that the R & D committee is a very stringent committee consisting of members appointed from the Universities of Agriculture and Horticulture namely Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh State Department of Agriculture, Andhra Pradesh State Seed Certification Agency (APSSCA) and the Seedsmen Association of A.P.
The quality seed supplied by M/S. Taiyo Gold Agri Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad is a well known name among the farming community in the state of A.P. The increasing popularity of the company and need for diversification into other crops, research is being conducted on Castor, Paddy & Maize. At present, germplasm collection, evaluation and maintenance are being undertaken in these crops.
The company is having 2 R & D farms located at different places as detailed below
a) Ravalkol village, Medchal mandal, R R district, Telangana in an area of 6.0 acres.
b) S. S. Pura, Haveri district, Karnataka in an area of 10.00 acres
In these R & D units, breeding of different vegetable crops, parental seed multiplication, seed production of various crops and grow out seeds and screening for pests diseases are being taken up.
The company is also having collaboration with Sehgal Foundation, Directorate of oil seeds, Directorate of rice research, ANGRAU, ICRISAT, Hyderabad and Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Tadepallygudem in exchange of Germplasm, conducting MLT's upgrading the capabilities of technical staff through training programmes, workshops etc. and assessing the performance of released products for various trails.
It is located in an area of 6000 sft at D.No. 8-2-68/2, Sai vishala Residency, Harshavardhan Enclave, Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad-500011. In the unit, printing of pouches, processing of various crop seeds involving cleaning, grading weighing filling and sealing activities are being done. Further packing and dispatch of the consignments are also carried out at the same place.
In addition to the above activities seed quality tests like germination tests are also carried out at the same place especially created as laboratory which is well equipped with different instruments.
The company is assisted by a group of well experienced Research & Development and Marketing staff since its establishment. The company is able to develop and produce several hybrids in various vegetable crops which are very much popular among the farmers in both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In addition to the seed production marketing activities, the unit is also carrying out field demonstrations, farmers meet and dealers meet to enlighten company activities to the farming community.
